Power & Grace Yoga
This class combines the best of both physical yoga worlds, with a strong athletic Vinyasa practice that will stabilize and warm up your muscles and joints so that you can work with more comfort and ease towards the elegant postures commonly associated with yoga – like arm balances, inversions, backbends and other poses requiring enhanced flexibility, like Monkey Pose (the splits) and Full Lotus. An existing yoga practice of at least 3 months is strongly recommended for this class. This class is not recommended for people recovering from injury or living with chronic pain and/or mobility issues.
Yoga for Athletic Recovery
It’s essential for athletes to rest between workouts so the body can repair, rebuild and strengthen itself. Giving your body time and space to adapt to the stress of your training, through a gentle and yet challenging yoga practice will aid in recovery and injury prevention.
This class will focus on:
Mobility – the motion we are able to control around the joint
Flexibility – the movement that is possible around the joint
Stability – that is established with both active and passive influences
Mind Body Connection to Breath
We invite athletes from any sports discipline and of all ages to join us for this specialized program designed for you!
